North Central People's Forum Is To Promote Peace, Security - Sule

The National Publicity Secretary of the newly established North Central People's Forum (NCPF) Hon. Audu Sule has explained that the main objectives of establishing the forum is to project the image of and promote the socio - economic as well as the political aspirations of  people in the zone.

Speaking with newsmen in Keffi, Nasarawa State today, the Publicity Secretary stated that, the forum is seeking to promote unity, peace, security and prosperity of its people given the abundant human and material resources that God Almighty has blessed the zone with.

He however, explained that the formation of the zone was not meant to serve as a parallel body or threat to the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF ) rather established to harmonized and project the visions  and provide political and economic directions to the people.

"Our paramount objective is to ensure there is peace in Nigeria where our former leaders made sacrifice for the unity of Nigeria and their efforts and labour cannot be in vain" he added.

He further explained," therefore we from the zone most come together irrespective of our religion, ethnicity, origin and political affiliations, but we have to remain one north central Nigeria". 

Sule who was a two term member of the Benue State House of Assembly, also stated that he and all other members of the NCPF  are still bonafide members of ACF and are all working to promote it's aims and objectives adding that there coming together to put in place the forum should not be seen as rebellion or confrontation rather  for the overall deployment of the people.

He then expressed the delight that the forum has taken off on a sound footing with a remarkable support and encouragements from all the six governors, political leaders and indeed the stakeholders in the zone.

While expressing delight over the high turned out of major stakeholders in the zone during the formal launching of the forum in Abuja, the nation's capital on 9th of this month, he optimisted that, the forum is going to record a huge success.
