The Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) Professor Sulaiman Bogoro has Eulogises the management and staff of Bayero University Kano over what he described as judicious utilisation of the fund's intervention over the years.
Speaking in Kano at the opening ceremony of the Annual Tetfund/FIRS Interactive Forum at the Bristol Palace Hotel, Professor Bogoro noted that, Bayero University is second to none in terms of accountable and proper utilisation of the resources allocated to it by the fund, there by making it the best in all the tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
"Today, in the Nigerian university systems, Bayero University Kano standout to be exceptionally excellent in terms of performance in the utilisation of the fund's intervention. BUK always lead interm of performance of Tetfund allocation, they're just too good. I commend the management for this," Said the Tetfund Boss
The theme of the Interactive Forum was "New Thrust In Sustaining the EDT Collection During Covid-19 Pandemic For Effective Service Delivery of the Fund" further charged other beneficiaries of the agency to emulate the quality work of Bayero University, Kano.
The Executive Secretary of the Tetfund also acknowledged the commitment and diligence exhibited by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) who collect fund on behalf of his agency, noted that, this exceptional qualities have made it possible for the agency to carryout it's responsibilities without much hitches.
Professor Sulaiman Bogoro in particular said, the FIRS have always been forthcoming and discharge their responsibilities without utmost zest, passion and sincerity.
"We never found them wanting,nor have any cause of quarrel. To me this is an indication of the integrity and honesty of the personnel".
Earlier, the Executive Chairman of the FIRS, Alhaji Muhammad N Mani who was represented by Mr. Pam Davou reaffirmed the commitment of his agency to discharge it's responsibilities.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Board of Tetfund, Alhaji Kasim Ibrahim Imam reiterated the commitment of the government for proper funding of the education sector.
He revealed that, President Muhammad Buhari was very much committed toward improving the standard of education in the country.
