Eleven petrol tankers were destroyed on Tuesday when fire razed a parking garage in Anguwan Mu’azu, Kaduna South Local Goverment Area.
The inferno incident also inflicted several with injuries.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, The Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KASEMA), Abdulahi Hassan said the inferno had led to discovery of some illegal trading of petroleum products in the area.
The Executive Secretary who went on the spot assessment to ascertain the level of damaged caused by the fire incident, described as unfortunate, the way people living in the area do not know the danger associated with the illegal movement of petroleum products.
He said that, his Agency would investigate the coused of the fire outbreak in regards to the involvement of members of the community in keeping petroleum products within the residential areas.
"Its our mandate to ensuring public safety", He emphasized.
According to some eye witnesses, No life was lost on the spot but all those who sustained injuries were rushed hospitals with the help of the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Police and some vigilantes in the area.
