One Sergeant Hussaini Sabiu has been arraigned before a Kano Senior Magistrate Court no:58 sitting in Nomans- Land over the alleged murder of a 22 years old man, Musa Sammani.
A Kano based online newspaper "Judicial Watch News" Published that, First information report read to the defendant before the court, stated that Sergeant Hussaini in December 2020, committed the act of murder , while observing police duty at a commercial bank located along Niger street.
The charge sheet said “ on 4th December 2020 one Aliu Sammani Abdulmumuni male of Zangon Dakata Quarters in Kano state, reported at Nassarawa police division that on same date at about 1400hrs you sergeant Hussaini Sabiu attached to Nassarawa division while on guard at Sterling bank, along Niger street, “you intercepted one Musa Sammani 22 years old , who was driving a matrix motor vehicle white in color with registration no UGG 76 JQ, where you cooked your rifle AK-47 and shot him on his neck.
“he was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, MMSH, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor. You are hereby arraigned before this court”, mentioned in the charge sheet.
The suspected killer police officer deny the allegation of murdered slammed against him before the court, he told the court that the content of the charge sheet were not true.
The prosecutor, Barrister Sa'adatu Ibrahim informed the court that investigation is still in progress.
The presiding magistrate, Aminu Gabari ordered that, the defendant be remanded in prison custody.
The court ordered the case adjourned the case to March 30, for further mention.
