The Kano state Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has received his second jab of the covid-19 vaccine.

Governor Ganduje and other top Kano state government officials were vaccinated as second trench of the exercise reached the state.

It was administered to the governor by his personal Physician, Dr Fakhraddeen Yahaya Muhammad, with the support of Dr. Muhammad Nura Yahaya. 

According to a statement made available to Newkeeper by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Malam Abba Anwar said, the second vaccination was held on Thursday at Ante-Chamber, Government House, Kano.

The statement urged all those who were vaccinated earlier during the first vaccination exercise, to make themselves available for the second batch, so that they could get rid of the pandemic. 

Those vaccinated for the second time immediately after the governor are the Secretary to State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji together with the representative of the Emir of Kano, Commissioners of Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, Environment, Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Getso, and Alhaji Nasiru Aliko Koki, among other dignitaries. 

The CPS's statement added that, Governor Ganduje pointed that, "We developed the culture of avoiding the disease And that should be more permanent in order to ensure sustainability in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic."
