Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) felicitates with Muslims faithful on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir festival.
The council particularly celebrated with its members and Nigerians in general as they join the rest of the world to commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir festivity.
The union in a statement signed by the Council's Chairman Abbas Ibrahim and the Secretary Abba Murtala, urges Nigerians regardless of ethnic or religious affiliations to work in synergy with security agencies so as to collectively defeat the evil doers holding the nation down.
The NUJ used the opportunity and called on citizens to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 protocols as the new Delta variant was confirmed in the country.
"People should ensure proper dumping of animal waste so as to guard against the outbreak of any disease," the statement enjoined Muslims Ummah
The union calls on people to fully participate in the ongoing voter registration across the country, urging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to strengthen its apparatuses to ensure smooth conduct of the continuous Voter Registration in the state and the country at large.
However, The Union extends its felicitations to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and emirs of Bichi, Rano, Gaya and Karaye on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
