Kano Promotes 187 Civil Servants, Retires 18

Kano State Government said over 18 workers in the mainstream retired from the state service and 187 others were promoted in the month of September 2021 respectively. 

The Chairman Kano state civil service commission Engr Bello Mohammad Kiru disclosed this on Thursday, shortly after the commission routine meeting for senior staff promotion exercise held at the conference hall of the commission. 

Engr. Kiru further explained that those retired from the service of the state government are senior and junior staff, due to age or reaching 35 years in active service. 

According to the statement made available to newsmen in Kano by the DPE and Acting Information Officer of the CSC Ismail Garba Gwammaja said that, about six conversion cases and eleven transfer of service were treated during the meeting, and appeal to the relevant MDAs seeking for promotion of their staff to ensure proper documentation and scrutiny the documents to varify all are intact before forwarding to the commission for their own interest.

He than expressed appreciation for members of the commission, under the able leadership of the Permanent Secretary of the commission Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Kofar mata for working assiduously towards achieving the desire objectives.

The Permanent Secretary of the Commission Alhaji Sani Kofar Mata, implore those promoted to reciprocate the kind gesture of governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for approving the promotion exercise dispite the current situation in the country.
