Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme has paid the sum of N9,403,168,339.49 to 2,146 retirees as pension and other benefits this year.
This was stated by the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Kamilu Musa during a press briefing held, Wednesday, at the conference room of the Agency in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.
The E S said that, the entitlements comprised that of retirement, Death, Death Pension Balance Benefits as well as the refund of 8% percent contributions respectively.
He explained that, the scheme has during the year under review paid N5,233,446,401.82 as monthly pension to 2146 ex-civil servants.
According to him, within the outgoing year, the scheme had also disbursed N4,169,721,937.67 as terminal benefits to a number of 2146 beneficiaries.
Alhaji Musa said the beneficiaries include retirees of State, local government and local govt education authorities.
"The board is up to date in the payment of entitlements to retirees and those who died in active service," he declared
