The Jigawa state chapter of New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) says over 300,000 people from People Democratic Party (PDP), ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and other political parties set to join the Party in the state.

NEWSKEEPER gathered that, with the emergence and lunching of "The National Movement" some weeks ago and the recent move to decamp into the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) by the former Governor of Kano state Rabi'u Kwankwaso together with other pronounced political stalwarts, the party now, appeared to be a third force in the Nigerian political spaces across the country.

Addressing the newsmen in Dutse, the State Chairman of New Nigeria People's Party Hon. Gambo Ibrahim Alawo said, the party has discussed and deliberated on the development during its state caucus meeting.

"The meeting has reviewed the reports gathered from across the state which shows over 300,000 people are on their way to join the party across the 27 local government areas of the state," he explained.

However, the Chairman who added that, NNPP is very much welcoming the decampees assured them of an enabling environment to pursue their legitimate democratic right in accordance with the party and Nigerian constitution.

"We will treat every party member with dignity, respect, justice, fairness, mutual equality and a level playing ground to promote internal democracy," the chairman promised

"We're aware that, some political parties are jittery with the new development but NNPP will not be shaken on its determination to ensure it take over Jigawa and Nigeria in the forthcoming general election," Gambo declared.
