The Former People's Democratic Party PDP Gubernatorial candidate during the 2015 and 2019 General election Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim has picked the New Nigeria People's Party NNPP Gubernatorial ticket.
Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim who was a former Chief of staff during the two Former Governors of the state Ibrahim Saminu Turaki and Sule Lamido.
He emerged as consensus candidate with 861 votes in the party's Gubernatorial primary election held at Dutse stadium.
Mr Ringim along thousands of his supporters dumped the People's Democratic party PDP and joined the New Nigeria People's Party NNPP.
He dumped the party along former senators, House of Representatives members, Commissioners and former Local Government chairmen for accusing ex-Governor Sule Lamido and other PDP stakeholders of sabotaging the party's victory in the previous elections.
Presenting his acceptance speech Ringim therefore thanks the party's delegates, stakeholders and other party members for the confidence and honour bestowed on him.
"I wish to formally accept the honour and trust you bestowed on my humble self to fly the flag of our Party as its Gubernatorial Candidate for Jigawa State in the forthcoming 2023 election"
He however urged the people of the state and Nigeria in general to use the power of their votes rationally come 2023 to rescue the state and Nation in general.
