The Jigawa state police command has paraded 9 suspects alleged to have been involved in kidnapping, armed robbery, and drug peddling in the state.

Parading the suspects on Wednesday at the Command's Headquarters in Dutse, the Jigawa state Police Commissioner Emmanuel Effiom explained that, the suspects were arrested in different locations following the sustain intelligence on movement of kidnap syndicates terrorizing both Jigawa and Kano state.

Mr Emnanulel Effiom while briefing journalists said the, during the raid, exhibits including one AK49 riffle, 1 magazine, 3 cut-to-size locally made guns, a Motor vehicle Honda civic, ten and a half bags of Indian Hemp, and 1 brand new Kasea motorcycle were recovered from the suspects.

CP Effiom, added that, the arrested suspects, are among the gang of kidnappers that are terrorizing Taura, Kaugama, Ringim, and some parts of the state.

However, the Police Commission appealed to people of the state to continue to partner with the police in the fight against crimes.

"Police will not relent on the oars of protecting lives and properties in the state," Jigawa CP reiterated.

Some of the suspects

The paraded suspects in connection to crime bordering kidnapping are; Mansur Abdullahi aged 22 years, Adamu Ali aged 30 years Aka Baba Uban Jumurda, Abdulkadir Alhassan aged 42 years, Alhassan Ya'u aged 45 years, and Mohammad Bello aged 50 years.

Others among the arrested suspects are; Mustapha Shehu aged 33 years for Armed Robbery, Adamu Ali aged 31 years for theft of motor vehicle, Uzairu Adamu of 21 years for drug peddling and 22 year's old Zaidu Galadima also for drug peddling.
