The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed the Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar as the Chairman Reconciliation Committee in Imo and Ogun states.
The Party has bestowed upon the Governor the responsibility of bringing together the aggrieved members of the great party in order to have a lasting peace and electoral victory in the forthcoming elections in the states and beyond.
The Governor is expected to identify contending stakeholder groups, conduct appropriate engagement between the groups with a view to bringing about genuine reconciliation for members of the party in the two state to be one family.
Other members of the committee include Dr Kayode Fayemi, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, Engineer Abdullahi A Sule, and Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya.
According to the statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media Auwal Sankara explained that, the Badaru's led committee is expected to submit its report within one week to the caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
