A pregnant woman Malama Tatatu Da'u gave birth to a baby boy at a camp provided for the Internally Displaced Persons whose rain flooded their houses in Maruta village, Gwaram local government area in Jigawa state.
Talatu Da'u along with other many people of the village rushed to Maruta government day secondary school when the water submerged their village, forced them to run out of their houses amidst the downpour which coused flooding in the area.
A source confirmed that, Malama Talatu Da'u was heavely pregnant when the water flooded their mode house as all their rooms collapsed.
The situation according to the source forced the heavely pregnant woman and hundreds of people of the village who were displaced to occupied a school building in the area.
Speaking to news men in the IDP's the husband of the woman, Malam Da'u Musa expressed gratitude to God Almighty as his wife gave birth a child safely.
"The mother and the child are in good condition of health," he added
"I was confused and devastated because of the place and the condition when my wife started labour, Because at that time our hospital too was submerged by the flood, God is kind after for about one hour 49 minutes she delivered a baby boy," He explained
Newskeeper gathered that, the flood in the area washed away many farmlands, destroyed valuable things and rendered hundreds of victims homeless.
