The Chief of Medical Services of the Nigerian Airforce, Air Commodore G Bako has requested for partnership with Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in the training of their doctors and other Medical personnels.
The Naf's Chief Medical Service made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy call to the Management of AKTH in Kano.
Air Commodore Bako who noted that, capacity building is the bedrock for efficiency in all endeavour, Said that currently, The Nigerian Air Force Medical Services Division has over 170 medical doctors and 40 of them were fellows from different medical feilds.
He explained that, no matter the structures, equipments or state of the arts facilities, capacity building for doctors and medical personnels is paramount in rendering the services of health care activities.
"Without training and efficient manpower, all facilities would be a weste," Bako added.
In a statement made available to journalists by AKTH Assistant Director Information Hauwa Muhd Abdullahi said the Chief Medical Director of the hospital Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe assured that, AKTH door is always open for doctors seeking for residency training especially those on sponsorship as well as other medical Personnels that wishes to upgrade their skills and specialisation.
The statement added that, Professor Sheshe intimated the NAF Medical Team on other training provided in the hospital such as Health Information Management, Post Basic Paediatric Nursing, Post Basic Nephrology Nursing, Community Health Officers Training, Intensive Care/Life Support Training, Audiology Training among others.
