ARDA Applaud Kano For Reviving Tourism, Cultural Heritage

The Chairman African Research And Developmental Agency, Professor Sule Bello lauded the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his sterlling qualities to establish the ministry of Tourism and Culture in the state, in view of the cosmopolitan nature and long history of kano.

Professor Bello disclosed this today during a working visit to the office of the commissioner for Tourism and Culture with a view to boost strong participation and relationship with the ministry, since they are aiming at the same common goals, he added.

He also expressed optimism that, with the coming of the ministry on board, most of the cultural heritage, historical information as well as tourism sector in the state would be fully revived.

In a his remark, Kano State commissioner for Tourism and Culture Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Karaye expressed appreciation for the visit which he described as timely, and restated his readiness to work with the organisation for the overall development of the sector.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Kano by the Chief Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Ismail Garba Gwammaja, said that, the ministry is working out on modalities to ensure that cultural and tourism sector is being maintain to the global best practice.
