The Minister of Water Resources, Engineer Suleiman Adamu has been Turbaned as the new Galadiman Kazaure, in Kazaure Emirates Council, Jigawa state.

Engr Sulaiman Adamu was Turbaned, Friday, by the Emir of Kazaure Alhaji Najib Hussain Adamu following the demised of late Galadima of Kazaure Alhaji Tukur Adamu who occupied the position for decades.

The Prince being presently the most senior council member and district head under Kazaure emirate was also installed as District Head of Roni.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after he was escorted to his Roni District Palace, the minister said, "Iam grateful to the Almighty Allah, it's very pleasant to be recognized by your community especially, I see this as recognition from my Emir, the emirate council and Jigawa state government because it has to approved it."

"I feel very happy, I feel very fulfilled and I see this also as another call to service which Iam already doing as federal minister, so finally when I leave the ministerial position hopefully in two year's time 2023 I will come back and be with the people and that's what's normally done by everybody that has gone into public services," the new Galadima added.

When asked about his political ambition, the traditional ruler mentioned that, “I have no intention what so ever to join politics at the moment as being romoured in some quarter, I will settle down as the District Head to serve my people after I finished my tenure as Minister."

He debunked the rumors in circulation that he's eyeing the seat of Jigawa state governor come 2023 saying that, "In my life, I leave everything to the will of Allah, Allah has already chartered the course of my faith and I always asked Almighty God to give us all that's good here and hereafter."

Before now, The Minister was holding a title of Danburan and recently promoted to Galadima of Kazaure Emirate Council and District Head of Roni.

The turban ceremony was attended by Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Governors, influencial personalities and various well wishers from within and out side Jigawa state.
