The Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammed Badaru Abubakar has been administered with the second jab of the Oxford astrazeneca vaccine.
The governor who was vaccinated this Thursday at the government house chamber before the commissioners and other government officials.
It could be recalled that, Goverrnor Badaru received first jab of the Covid-19 astrazeneca vaccine on the 10th of March, 2021.
Earlier, the state government has received the delivery of about seventy thousand doses of the oxford extrazaneca covid-19 vaccine.
The Executive Secretary, Jigawa State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim said the second jab of the vaccination exercise was flagged-off at Kudai Primary Health care centre Dutse.
"The essence of the second phase is to induce the front line workers that took the first jab to take the second jab for them to be fully protected from the covid-19," he emphasized.
He said that, the national guide line has prescribed that, the two doses must be separated from each other in the maximum of six weeks and not exceeding twelve weeks.
