THE Peoples' Democratic Party, (PDP) senatorial candidate in the 2019 elections, Dr. Mustapha Sule Lamido has described the death of Ahmad Abubakar, a reporter with The Sun Newspaper in Jigawa State as a personal loss.
The PDP chieftain made the disclosure when he paidd a condolence visit to the Secreriat of the Correspondents' Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) in the state capital, said, Ahmed was an epitome of excellence and humility whose his contribution on the development of Jigawa state can not be quantified.
He described that, the death of Ahmad is a great lost not only to the working journalists in the state but also to the Jigawa state people and Nigeria at large.
The late Ahmed Abubakar, The Chairman of the Jigawa state Correspondent's Chapel returned to his creator last Wednesday after a protracted illness.
Alhaji Mustapha Sule said that, "I received the sudden death of Ahmad Abubakar whom I considered part of our family as a shocking and personal loss."
He therefore condoled with the Family, Members of the Correspondent's Chapel, Nigerian Union of Journalists and his employer "The Sun".
According to him, "Words have failed me do describe how I feel inside me on the kind of relationship that exist between us and the Chairman, but we take solace in the fact that, from Allah we came and to Him we shall return back."
He then donated in cash the sum of one hundred thousand naira to support the family of the deceased and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his sins, grant him Aljannatul Firdausi and give his family and we the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost.
