The National leader of the Jama’atu Izalatu Bida’a Waikamatul Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir has called on Nigerian government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to think twice on the proposed hike in fuel price and the proposed Nationwide protest slated to hold on the 27th, January, 2022.
The leader made this known at the weekend in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital, in an interview with journalists shortly after opening the 25th National Qur'anic Recitation Competition (Musabaqa).
Sheikh Sani Jingir, who said he's not an expert in the field, urged that, both the two parties should look inward on the negative consequences of their proposed measure of increasing the fuel price, Nationwide strike and protest on the comman man.
"There is need for government to create an avenue where every relaxant stakeholders would be gathered to rub mind on the best way forward", he suggested.
Commenting on the security challenge in the country, the cleric who decried on the incessant killing, kidnapping and other banditry activities especially in the North stated that, the only way such could be curbed was for all to come together and confront the criminals once and for all, citing some instances where some brace Nigerians had in the past, achieved such feats.
"Nigerians should rise up in unity and defend themselves against the activities of bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements terrorizing the northern parts of the country", he urged.
