The Jigawa State and Local Government Contributory Pension Scheme Board has paid the sum of N498,467,684.16 as terminal benefits of 219 ex-workers for the month of November, 2021.
Speaking during a press conference held at the Pension House, Dutse, Monday, The Executive Secretary of the Board Alhaji Kamilu Musa said the amount paid comprised the Retirement Benefit, Death Benefit, Death Pension Balance and Refund of 8% Contribution of ex-civil servants at the State level, Local Governments and Local Government Education Authorities across the state.
The Executive Secretary explained that in the period under review, The Scheme had paid the retirement benefits worth N422,313,850 for 55 retirees at State level, 30 at LGC and 78 at LGEA's respectively.
He also mentioned that, The Scheme had at the moment settled death benefits worth N57,196,085.44 for 33 ex-civil servants among which included 6 from State government, 19 from LGC and 8 at the level of LGEA's in the state.
However, Alhaji Musa said that in the current period, the Contributory Pension Scheme has disbursed a total of N18,893,545.02 as death pension balance of 19 pensioners, 9 from State, 4 from LGC and 6 from LGEA.
"The scheme has also refunded the sum of N564,203.04 as 8% contribution to four ex-civil servants at the State level," Kamilu Musa highlighted.
