Member representing Dawakin Tofa, Rimin Gado and Tofa Federal Constituency at the House of represrntatives, Engr. Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe has secured the nod of the caucus of the New Nigeria Peoples Party to retain his seat at the National Assembly's lower chamber.
It's believed that, His endorsement came on the heels of a marathon deliberation by the party's caucus from Dawakin Tofa, Rimin Gado Local Governments Areas which brought to the fore the consensus reached for the contest to be given to the legislator who was described to be the best choice.
However, the consensus reached would serve as a major catalyst according to political observers in dousing possible tension that would tend to divide supporters opinion ahead of the submission of contestants name to the Independent National Electoral Commission before the stipulated deadline expired.
It was also the contention of the constituents that with this development, the NNPP is poised to make a date with history in all the seats to be contested in Kano due to its wider appeal and acceptability.
