Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has approved the appointment of Auwalu Danladi Sankara as a Commissioner and Member in the Jigawa State Executive Council.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Dutse, the state capital by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Relations, Alhaji Habibu Kila.
Until his appointment, Auwalu Danladi Sankara was the Senior Special Assistant the the Governor Muhammad Badaru on New Media.
In the statement, Mr Kila said that, governor Badaru has on Friday sent the letter of nomination to the Jigawa state House of Assembly, seeking the Assembly’s approval on this regard.
The spokesperson of the governor therefore added that, Mr Sankara's appointment was based on merit, dedication and loyalty.
The nominee, "Auwalu Sankara," is the eldest son to Alhaji Danladi Abdullahi Sankara, serving Senator Jigawa North West who in the recent primary election of his party (APC) lost the recontesting ticket to Alhaji Babangida Hussaini Kazaure.
