Federal University Dutse has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Development Initiatives for West Africa (DIWA) on research, publications and girls child scholarship.
Speaking during the signing of the M.O.U, held, Thursday, at the Conference Hall, Senate building, Federal University Dutse, the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Sabo Abdulkareem said, the institution is always welcoming organisation and individual who want partners with the university on education, social and economic development.
He explained that the university had signed M.O.U with many institutions of learning, companies , donor partners, civil societies and community organisations on various field which are positively impacting to the society.
"Such M.O.U is assisting our students, the community, the country and humanity in general to tackle social, economic and environmental challenges around".
Professors Sabo than commended DIWA for chosen FUD among the University they want partner with In Nigeria and promised to ensure the ultimate goals of the agreements are sustainably achieved.
Earlier in his speech, the Chief Executive Officer of the Development Initiatives for West Africa (DIWA) Mr Daoda Kanneh said their organisation want partner with FUD on Innovations, exchange of knowledge and expertise, research and publications, water and sanitation, health and scholarship particularly for girls child of less previllage background.
Mr. Daoda added that, DIWA is regional, non governmental organization working in various west African countries in the area of human and capital development.
He than assured the Vice Chancellor that, DIWA will be punctual and proactive in the area of collaboration signed in the MoU and called for the appointment of Desk office to coordinate the activities.
