Kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusif has appointed Air Commodore Salisu Yusha’u Abdullahi (rtd) as Special Adviser on Joint Security Services in the state.
This was contained in a press release made available, Monday, to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sanusi Bature D/Tofa.
It's recalled that, Air Commodore Yusha'u (rtd) was the New Nigeria's People Party (NNPP) candidate of TudunWada/Doguwa federal constituency in the February 25th, 2023 House of Representative elections of which his co-contestant of APC Alhassan Doguwa was announced winner even though NNPP rejected the outcome of the election’s result by going to the Election Trubunal and the case is still active, and besides that, the present Kano State government has began a process to revisit the alleged cases of post election massacred on innocent Tudun Wada residents of which Mr. Doguwa is suspected to have hand in it.
In the statement of the Chief Press Secretary, governor Abba Kabir also appointed 9 others as Special Advisers in different fields among which includes;
1. Hon. Garba Dirbunde, Special Adviser, Local Government Affairs
2. Hon. Wakili Aliyu Garko, Special Adviser, Diaspora Matters
3. Hon. Musa Ado Tsamiya, Special Adviser, Drainages
4. Gwani Musa Falaki, Special Adviser, Religious Affairs II
5. Dr. Sulaiman Wali Sani Mni, Special Adviser, Civil Service Matters
6. Prof. Auwalu Arzai, Special Adviser, Higher Education
7. Hon. Ahmad Sawaba, Special Adviser, Wildlife Conservation
8. Alh. Tajuddeen Gambo, Special Adviser, Education
9. Hon. Baba Abubakar Umar, Special Adviser Private and Voluntary Schools
According to the governor, the appointment is in fulfilment of his campaign promises to place credible people in affairs of his administration.
