Jigawa state governor Umar Namadi has offered a Sallah gift of Saudi Arabian Riyal 129,600 to this year's pilgrims from the state.
Governor Namadi offered the gift through the year 2024 Jigawa State Amirul Hajji, the Emir of Hadejia Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje.
While announcing the governor's gesture during his maiden meeting with the pilgrims in their accommodation in Makka, Emir Adamu Maje said that, each of the 1, 296 Jigawa State pilgrims will be equally received SR100 as Barka da Salah.
The Amirul Hajj had earlier, apologized to the Pilgrims for not being able to visit them during their stay in Mina at the beginning of the Hajj exercises.
He then instructed the Pilgrims to adhere closely to the advices and sermons given to them by the Scholars governing the Hajj exercise since their departure from Nigeria until now.
Also, the Jigawa state leader for this year's Hajj commended the Jigawa Hajj Committee for the provision and planning of the Pilgrims which it is hoped will be a model for other similar agencies.
He therefore, reiterated his call to the pilgrims to continue to pray for Nigeria, the leaders at all stages, selfs and their families for Allah's intervention over challenges and difficulties sorrounding our lives.
During the well attended interactive, the Jigawa State pilgrims welfare board has through the Amirul Hajj honored one of the journalist covering the exercise for Jigawa State Radio Corporation Alhaji Abba Muhammad Limawa for his outstanding effort where he returned millions of foreign currencies he found in Madina to the authority.
Our correpondent, reports that, the 2024 Jigawa state Amirul Hajj, Emir Adamu Abubakar Maje was during the meeting together with his team members compromising Ulamas and some key government officials.
