The Jigawa state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has launched its campaign for the upcoming Local Government Council Election in October.
The campaign kickoff event was held, Thursday, in Hadejia, where Governor Malam Umar Namadi emphasized the importance of local government elections in Nigeria's democracy.
Governor Namadi assured the crowd that his government is committed to ensuring a peaceful election, which will strengthen democratic development in the state. He highlighted the APC's achievements in the last 9 years, delivering dividends of democracy to every community in Jigawa state.
The governor urged the crowd to vote for APC candidates in all 27 local government areas, citing their loyalty, patriotism, transparency, and commitment to serving the state and humanity. He expressed confidence in the party's candidates and their ability to make Jigawa state great.
State party chairman Hon Aminu Sani Gumel charged party members to campaign vigorously, showcasing the positive impacts of the APC government in transforming Jigawa state. He expressed confidence that Jigawa people will overwhelmingly vote for APC candidates.
Commissioner for Local Government Hon Muhammad Maikudi assured the crowd that the APC will continue working for the betterment of Jigawa people and their children. He urged them to reaffirm their confidence in the party by voting for all APC candidates.
The campaign launch event was attended by a large gathering of APC faithful, who were energized by the speeches and commitments made by the party leaders.
The APC is poised to leverage its achievements and popularity to win the Local Government Council Election, with a focus on continuing its development agenda for Jigawa state.
