The president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chief Division C.S. Alaribe have inaugurated ICAN -Dala and District Society in Kano State.
The event was held at Kano State Polytechnic, on Saturday.
In a statement made available to Newskeeper by the Social and publicity Secretary Kano branch Mr.
Garba Haruna Abdullahi said, the 60th Daimond President of the institute commended the efforts of the new Districts.
"Kano is a great and big metropolitan State, one more is not enough, Professional Accountants should have more district societies, to produce more Chartered Accountants through catch-them-young programme", Alaribe Said.
"Chairman Dala and Kano District Societies should work together and create more other District Societies,the more you create new districts, the more younger ones will join the Institute" he added.
The President had inaugurated Mr. Ali Shehu, ACA, as a pioneer chairman alongside other Executive members.
Earlier,in his speech,The pioneer chairman of the new Dala District,Mr. Ali Shehu, ACA, had commended the efforts of Kano and district society and other other stakeholders that have contributed towards the realisation of the newly created District.
Adding that the District would work alongside all stakeholders and maintain the core values integrity, accuracy in order to boost the gospel of ICAN in Kano State.
