Northern Youth Assembly Urges Peaceful Sallah Celebrations | Newskeeper

As the Sallah celebrations approach, the Northern Youth Assembly, Kano State Chapter, has called on citizens, especially the youth, to uphold peace, tolerance, and mutual respect throughout the festive period. 

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday in Kano by the Chairman of the Northern Youth Assembly, Kano State Chapter, Sulaiman Idris.

According to Idris, the festive period is a time for reflection, unity, and joy, and it is essential for all citizens to work towards protecting and preserving the legacy of peace and hospitality that Kano State is known for. 

"Let us remember that the future of Kano rests on our shoulders, and peace is the foundation upon which progress is built," he said.

The Northern Youth Assembly strongly urges the youth not to allow themselves to be used by any individual or group to instigate violence or unrest before, during, or after the Sallah festivities. 

Idris emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the state, saying that it is crucial for progress and development.

The Assembly commends the efforts of the Kano State Government in supporting security agencies and community leaders in maintaining law and order and encouraged continued collaboration between the government and the public to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

The Northern Youth Assembly wishes everyone a safe, joyful, and peaceful Sallah celebration, urging all citizens to work towards making the celebration a memorable one, free from violence and unrest.
