NIS Apprehends Job Scammer In Jigawa - Comptroller

The Nigeria Immigration Service, Jigawa state command has arrested a most wanted scammer who is promising to provide people with job opportunities into the Nigeria Immigration recruitment exercise.

The fraudster, Muhammad Sulaiman Bubaji an indegine of Bayi Quarters, Hadejia, who was claiming to be a younger brother to the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede was arrested while trying to dupe Birniwa local government chairman to collect applications that would be submitted to the CGIS in Abuja.

Speaking to newsmen while parading the suspect at the Jigawa state command of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Dutse, The State Comptroller Ismail Abba said that, the suspect who was claiming self as Baffa Babandede confessed to the crime he intended to commit and revealed that, he have been committing various degrees of criminal act where he once served jail term.

He said that, the Chairman after suspecting the guy, he requested him to be in his house at Hadejia this Wednesday for the flight fee and other incentive to Abuja for the submission of the requested applications for NIS recruitment.

The Jigawa state Comptroller therefore explained that, the chairman immediately called the Comptroller General to confirm if the suspect claim is true or false.

"After receiving the directive from the CGIS, I quickly sent my staff to the scene of the agreement and arrested the accused person," Ismail Abba said.

The Comptroller stated that, Investigation is still on and therefore advised the general public to report anybody who demand money or any form of gratification to security agencies concerning any recruitment.
