An elder brother to governor Abdullah Umar Ganduje, Alhaji Ismail Umar Ganduje was turbaned as District Head of Dawakin Tofa local government, under one of the newly created Bichi Emirate Council, Kano state.
Alhaji Ismail Umar Ganduje was turbaned by the Emir of Bichi Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero this Friday at the Emir's Palace in Bichi Town, following the demised of the late District Head Alhaji Abdullahi Maikano who died about three months ago.
The new District Head was also bags with a traditional title of Magajin Masarautar Bichi, under Bichi Emirate Council.
Before, Ismail Ganduje was holding a position of Ward Head (Dagachin Ganduje) in Dawakin Tofa and now elevated to District Head by the Emir of Bichi.
In a breif remark, The Emir of Bichi Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero said that, the installation of the new monarch was base on merit and his selfish services to the humanity especially to the people of under his domain.
Kano state governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was among the digenitries that graced the turbaning ceremony.
Personalities who attended the turbaning event together with the governor were the Secretary to Kano State Government Alhaji Usman Alhaji, Chairman APC Kano Chapter Abdullahi Abbas, a close friend to governor Ganduje Senator Abubakar Gada, Chief of staff Hon. Ali Haruna Makoda, Commissioners and other head of government agencies and department among others.
