The youth group of the APC in Jigawa State has called on the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately review the appointment of the Minister of Defense, Badaru Abubakar, due to dissatisfaction with his performance and the alleged disobedience to the party.
It was learned that, as the supporters of the incumbent Jigawa state governor Umar Namadi and his boss, the Defense Minister Badaru continue to exchange bitter arguments over series of issues, the situation now escalated into protests, with irate youths taking to the streets to express their frustration and anger.
Addressing journalists while conducting the protest at Dutse metropolitan city on Friday, the Coordinator of the group called 'Jigawa APC Youth Concern Citizens' (JAYCC), Ahmad Magaji Bashir, said that what the Minister of Defense has done hindered the efforts of the APC party, alleging him of decampaigning the party in Jigawa State.

"We are disappointed that, Badaru has failed to support the policies of the APC in the state and how he is aligned with the wishes of the opposition PDP in the state."
Mr. Bashir, outlined a number of grievances, including Badaru's alleged lack of support for APC members and his views on PDP members in the state.
The group leader also shed light on the reports showing that the billboards of the APC party containing the pictures of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima were allegedly vandalized by Minister Badaru's supporters in the state.
"We are very worried about the lack of commitment of the minister to the policies of the APC party and its plans, we are disappointed by his actions," JAYCC Coordinator stressed.
"His (Badaru) actions seem to be against the interests of the party in Jigawa and Nigeria as a whole."
However, the group expressed its concern that, the presence of Badaru in President Tinubu's cabinet could harm the reputation of the APC in Jigawa and the country as a whole calling on President Tinubu to immediately take action to resolve the situation.
"We are asking President Tinubu to reconsider the appointment of Minister Badaru. "His continued role in the government may hinder the party's activities and hinder our joint efforts," the group said.
Also, the APC youth group emphasized its determination to support the government of President Tinubu but emphasized the need for strong leadership in the APC party to restore confidence and unity among the members of Jigawa state.
It was observed that, the rifts between governor Namadi and his boss, the Minister of defense Badaru Abubakar has also spilled over into local media stations, with heated debates between supporters of both sides, highlighting the growing divisions within the state's political landscape, with each side trading accusations and counter-accusations.
The Defense Minister's camp has yet to officially respond to the allegations and protests, fueling speculation about the depth of the rift between the governor and the minister.
Our reporter in Jigawa State reached out to the Minister's media aide, Mr. Mati Ali, for comment, but he was unavailable, saying that, "at the moment I am here at the graveyard attending a burial ceremony."
As the situation continues to unfold, the expectations remains on how the parties involved will address the issues at hand and work towards a resolution.
